Can I Use 108-Inch Curtains on 8-Foot Ceilings Without Them Looking Too Long?
No; 108 inches is 9 feet, so you’ll have a foot of sag on the ground. We would recommend you purchase 96-inch curtains, give or take a few inches if you want a little spill or some space between the curtains and the floor.
Are 108-Inch Curtains Only for 9-Foot Ceilings?
Not necessarily. Some people with 10-foot ceilings may want extra clearance between the curtain and floor to avoid a mess. However, if you have an 8.5-foot ceiling, these curtains can pillow and look regal. Not only that, but most people will not mount the curtains directly near the ceiling.
How High Should I Mount the Curtain Rod for 108-Inch Curtains?
Your curtain rod should be mounted about 4-6 inches below your ceiling. Or, about 8-12 inches above the window frame. The best rule of thumb is to measure and determine if your curtains will be kissing the floor, or if they will be too small or too big.
