Frequently Asked Questions

Can You Make a Custom Rod Pocket Size for My Canopy Bed Curtains?

All canopy bed curtains are made in-house. What does this mean? It means we can customize the pocket size for your breathable canopy bed curtain. This makes for easy installation.

Which Heading Should I Choose for My Canopy Bed Curtains?

You don’t need to take apart your bed or use tools to install our bedroom decor. Just get your canopy bed curtains with ties, and installation is a breeze. If you want something more permanent, grommet or rod pocket headings will require disassembly, so keep that in mind.

How To Clean Your Canopy Bed Curtains?

Dry cleaning and air drying are the best ways to clean our canopy bed curtains. These are not machine-washable canopy curtains. Avoid hand washing as well. If your canopy bed curtains need some ironing, spray some water on them. After the bed canopies get slightly damp, iron on low heat.

Will a Bed Canopy fit on my Four-Poster Bed?

In most cases, our canopy bed curtains should fit on your four-poster bed. But you do need to measure! Measure the top frame, then order according to its size. If it’s queen size, purchase a canopy that fits that size bed.

You can also use adjustable rails or install your own frame. We would recommend you do your research on the specific brand of bed you own, if available, to see if our curtains will fit. It may also depend on the size of your bed (for example, twin bed canopy vs. king canopy bed.) To save you the hassle of getting the wrong bed canopies, our team can help you find the best fit. What Are Your Canopy Curtains Made Of?

We offer beautiful linen and luxurious velvet bed canopies, with both fabrics being OEKO-TEX certified. We believe that your bedroom appearance should be as high-quality as possible, and our curtains can help transform the space.

What Sizes of Canopy Curtains Do You Have?

Our bed sizes come in different sizes, depending on what type of bed curtains you’re looking for. Our scarf canopy bed curtains and separate bed curtains are available in any width or length. These are built for simple installation and maintenance.

We also have bed canopies available for adult beds, and beds for kids. Whether you have a twin size bed, queen size bed, or even a kid bed, our curtains will enhance any bed. Even a baby crib, or princess play tent!

How Well Do Bed Canopies Block Light for Sleeping?

It depends on what type of material and lining you choose. Sheer linen is transparent, meaning the sunlight will shine through it. Medium-weight and heavyweight linen can block some light. But you may still be woken up if you’re a light sleeper. Velvet can give up to 70% blackout. Our total blackout canopy curtains can block 100% lighting, so choose that if you need total blackout inside your magical retreat.

Can I Mount Bed Canopies to the Ceiling or Just the Frame?

Yes, it’s possible to do so. You’ll usually need to mount a ceiling track, rod, or hook to your ceiling. Also, be sure you measure from your ceiling to the bed frame, or wherever you want the curtains to end, before ordering.

Do I Need a Special Frame for Your Bed Canopies? Can I Use My Existing Bed?

Yes, you can use ceiling hooks or rods to mount your curtains. Or, you may try another DIY method. You don’t need to change your bed to get a great experience. You just need a reliable way to hang them!

Do I Have To Take the Bed Apart To Put the Curtains On?

It depends on your bed! For traditional canopy adult beds, these often have rails and posts that need to be disassembled. You will need to take apart the frame or top rails. However, you can reduce the hassle by using ceiling mounts or another DIY method.

Do Canopy Bed Curtains Attract Dust?

Yes, but regular dry cleanings can get rid of it. We would recommend periodic cleanings to avoid dust and dust mites, both of which can make your allergies worse. In addition, always dust and vacuum your bedroom periodically.

How Long Should the Curtains for Bed Canopies Be?

Have at least 5 inches of clearance. This is so you don’t trip on them, and so pulling them back is easy. However, you can customize the bed curtains’ length according to your needs. If you like the curtains spilling over and want to take that risk, you can do so.

Do I Need a Special Frame for Your Bed Canopies? Can I Hang Them From the Ceiling?

Both can work! Depending on your bed, you can attach the bed curtains to your frame. Others, you’ll want to hang from ceiling hooks or rods. We’d recommend looking at your bed and finding the prettiest and most convenient option for easy installation.

How Many Curtains Do I Need?

Six panels are what most will need. The first four bed canopies are for your bed’s sides, then the last two are for the head and legs of your bed.  Depending on its size, you may need double that. You can customize the curtains’ size so you won’t need as many panels.

Will Bed Canopies Fit on My Specific Bed Size?

Yes! We let you customize the size of your canopy bed curtains. However, you should measure your bed’s dimensions to ensure a comfortable fit. Even if you know it’s a California king or queen size bed, double check!

Do Bed Canopies Block Light and Sound?

It depends on what type of bed canopies you get. Thicker fabrics, such as velvet or multiple layers, can block some light and sound, better than sheer curtains. Our total blackout options can work the best if you want true privacy. Sheer curtains are ideal if you want no light filtration, and medium weight provides balance.

Can I Use Regular Curtains on a Canopy Bed?

Of course! However, you need to measure the bed and determine if the regular curtain panels will fit. We offer custom sizing so you get the most comfortable fit to complement bedroom decor. That being said, curtains designed for bed canopies can look the most aesthetically pleasing.

Can I Hang Lights on the Bed Canopies?

Adding star lights, Christmas lights, or any similar LED lights can add beauty. However, avoid heat-generating lights, as these curtains are flammable.
