Frequently Asked Questions
How Do I Measure the Drop Size for My Bed Skirt?
It depends on what type of bed skirt you’re using: ruffled or straight. Both types require a measuring tape.
Ruffled Bed Skirt
Measure from the box spring’s top to the floor, adding an inch or two to your drop measurement. Drop measurement refers to how long the visible skirt material will be. This will give your bed an easygoing look.
Straight Bed Skirt
This one is easy. Measure from the top of the box frame to the floor.
Will I Need Split Corners?
It depends on how high your footboard or bed frame is. If it’s high (typically considered as higher than the mattress), you’ll need split corners, and vice versa. Split corners will be the best fit for that type of bed, hiding your unsightly box spring.
What Size Works Best for My Bed?
The bed skirt size should be around the same as your mattress. Each skirt is designed to work with your typical US bed sizes. To make sure the bed skirt will conceal your mattress, check our shop has a sizing guide that will give you an idea.
I Have a Non-Standard Bed Size. Do You Offer Custom Sizing?
Yes, we do. Beds are one of those items where one size doesn’t fit all. If you need extra width, length, or drop, we can help. Simply contact us, and we’ll make a bed skirt that fits your bed perfectly!
Do Your Sheets and Duvet Covers Match?
If you want everything to match, you’re in luck. All of our bedding uses the same line fabric, and you can buy full sets with all parts matching. Your bed skirts, sheets, covers, and pillowcases will all look uniform, helping to elevate your bed’s appearance.
Do You Offer See-Through Bed Skirts?
Our bed skirts are not see-through. This fact especially applies to our heavyweight linen, where the dust ruffle is thick.
Do You Have 4-Sided Bed Skirts?
By default, we do not offer this, as the headboard lacks a fourth side. However, we have custom designs if you must have a fourth side. Simply contact us, and we’ll make it happen.
How Do You Attach the Bed Skirt?
To know how to attach the bed skirt, you must first know what it consists of. First, it consists of decking, which is the part of the fabric that covers the mattress. It also consists of ruffles or straight sides, which goes from the mattress down to the floor. Because of this, all you need to do is place the bed skirt under the mattress, and you’re good to go!
I Have an Adjustable Base. Will Your Bed Skirts Work for This?
No, due to the fabric platform. When you adjust the base, the bed skirt will get caught within the moving base. This can lead to your skirt bunching, or worse, tearing altogether.
Do I Need to Wash the Bed Skirt Before Using It?
Because all of our bedding comes from pre-washed linen, you do not need to do this.
Will the Bed Skirts Cover the Box Spring Top Through a Full Decking?
Yes, they will.
I Want A Sample of Your Fabric. Is It Possible to Get Swatches?

What’s the Difference Between a Bed Skirt and Dust Ruffle?
These two terms mean the same thing in modern times. However, in the past, the dust ruffle has referred to gathered, wavy fabric that resembles the object it was named after.
What Bed Skirt Style Should I Choose?
It ultimately depends on your style and the type of bed you own. A tailored or box pleat skirt gives a minimalist look. Meanwhile, a gathered or ruffled skirt will give your bed a rustic or romantic look. Finally, heavy textured fabrics will make your bed feel regal.
What is the Decking (Center Platform) Made Of?
Depending on which you choose, the type is either made from cotton decking or linen. Our Bed Skirt Collection page has both available.
Is the Fabric Thick Enough to Hide Items Stored Under the Bed?
Yes, especially if you choose a larger drop height. The bed will look gorgeous without revealing what’s under your bed.
How Do I Remove Packing Wrinkles?
Ironing or steam treatment can help with this. With ironing, dampen the fabric beforehand, and start with low heat.
Do I Have to Lift the Entire Mattress to Install the Bed Skirt?
As the skirt goes under the mattress, this is recommended. However, it is possible to install it by partially lifting up the mattress.
Will the Bed Skirt Slide Around?
Not at all. As long as the mattress is sturdy, the bed skirt will stay put.
How to Wash and Dry the Skirts?
You can dry clean the skirts or machine wash on a gentle cycle. Avoid hot water or bleaching. When drying your skirt, air dry it or dry it on low heat in a dryer. Finally, you can iron the skirt with low heat.
Is Your Linen OEKO-TEX Certified?
Yes, all linen is certified.
